Grapefruit..

Dieters all over the world know that grapefruit is the ultimate diet food.  Did you know however, that grapefruit is also a natural appetite suppressant?  Also did you know that grapefruit contains so few calories, that your body uses more calories  just digesting it? These are good health facts to know for a healthier body.

Hawthorne Berries..

Hawthorne berries are widely believed to be a natural appetite suppressant in traditional Chinese Medicine.  Hawthorne berries also help to digest and assimilate nutrients in your system.  Even in western alternative medicine the hawthorne berry is used for cardiac health and for improving circulation.  Hawthorne berries are commonly available in tablet form as well.

Nuts..

The fact is not all fats lead to actual body fat.  A lot of people who are dieting, avoid eating nuts because of their high fat and calorie content, but they’re actually good for you.  The following nuts and seeds might be high in calories but their ratio of fat to carbohydrate is also very high, so they will naturally suppress your appetite which will cause you to eat fewer calories overall.  Almonds, pecans, macadamia nuts, filberts, walnuts, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, all fall into this category.

Peppermint Tea..

Peppermint tea is the last one I want to mention in this post. Many people claim that drinking peppermint tea greatly reduces their appetite. I can honestly say I’ve not noticed it does for me. Maybe it’s the actual water filling up your stomach or maybe there is some validity to this. I welcome your comments! What’s your experience?
