It is estimated that about 40 percent of Americans take some sort of vitamin supplement. Many of us do not get the proper amount of daily required vitamins in our every day diet and may experience vitamin deficiencies because of this fact. Vitamins are essential to our diet and health as they not only ward of diseases such as cancer, but also promote growth, maintain health, assist in healing and even help with heart disease, the number one killer in the nation.
Until recently, all vitamins were tablets, unless they were the type given to infants. Obviously infants were unable to swallow whole vitamins, so they were given liquid forms that were taken in eye droppers. As the infants became older, chewable vitamins began to take the place of the liquid form. Children still had a difficult time swallowing pills and also would balk at eating something that did not taste good, so children vitamins were invented with cartoon shapes and good taste.
Adults, in the meantime, were confined to taking pills or tablets for their vitamin supplements. Most adults eventually learn how to consume tablets and pills without choking and most medication for adults is in tablet or pill form. However, some adults dislike the idea of swallowing pills. Many would prefer to take liquid medicines or supplements.

Rosacea is a common face rash of adults. It is an inflammatory disease of the skin, which is estimated to affect over 45 million people worldwide. Rosacea begins with people in their 30’s and may last into late middle age (around age 60). Rosacea is about 3 times more common in females and may seem to be associated with peri-menopause in some cases. It is also more common in fair-skinned people of Celtic or Scandinavian decent.
Rosacea is often made worse by cold weather, hot beverages, and stress.
Many people have been looking for natural treatments to reduce the appearance of rosacea. While rosacea cannot be cured, its symptoms may be controlled with various all natural extracts & oils that are now featured in many over the counter products.
One natural treatment that has shown the ability to reduce rosacea is green tea extract. Women treated with a special topical green tea extract cream had a 70% improvement in rosacea compared with women treated with a placebo. The study was conducted by Tanweer Syed, MD, PhD, an associate professor of dermatology at the University of San Francisco. The study showed that women who had redness, pustules, bums, and blood vessels that were visible showed significant improvement when they applied the green tea cream twice daily.

When you have no time to cook your own food, what do you do? The answer is obvious, of course. You go out to your local fast food outlet (in deference to your kids’ preferences), you go out to the food strip at the mall, or you order take out. It is convenient and you can eat your fill at these joints. What’s not so obvious, however, is what such a practice is doing to you and your children’s health.
Healthy eating habits are crucial to achieving a healthy mind and body. Healthy eating habits refer to eating meals regularly, eating well-balanced meals, and eating only what’s necessary. Healthy eating habits do not involve eating burgers and fries for lunch.

Billions of dollars are spent every year by millions of people around the world on vitamin supplements. In 2004 alone, it is estimated, nearly $20B dollars went to supplements. A lot of the people spending their hard-earned money on vitamin supplements believe they are warding off cancer, heart disease, or other conditions just by taking vitamins. Most people don’t know, however, that it is not possible to stock up the nutritional value of many vitamins. Water soluble vitamins and minerals like vitamins B and C are actually eliminated each day (don’t ask me to go into details about how that happens!).
Other vitamins are “fat-soluble” meaning they dissolve in fat. Those include vitamins A, K, D, and E. The fat-soluble vitamins can be more dangerous than water-soluble. What is not used by the body actually ends up in the liver, where it can build up and could potentially be toxic.
You should check with your doctor or healthcare practitioner about whether or not you can absorb the vitamins you want to be taking. That’s the first place to look when deciding what supplement may be right for you. If you are not absorbing a vitamin or mineral as it naturally occurs, you will want to supplement it. Don’t supplement vitamins you are already supplying your body in adequate quantities.

Although Zeolite is a relatively new discovery in the world of alternative medicine, this mineral is already making waves in the homeopathic community. Derived from volcanic rock, Zeolite has a number of great benefits that are continually being explored by alternative medicine practitioners.
Cleansing the Body
The best known and most widely recognized benefit of using Zeolite is the fact that it can remove toxins and heavy metals from the body. This is made possible by the fact that Zeolite is able to attract positive minerals such as magnesium, calcium, sodium, potassium, and iron. Heavy metals, such as mercury, cadmium, arsenic, and nickel, then displace the minerals and are easily removed from the body.
