First, here’s a bonus tip. Don’t stress out about managing stress!
The following 8 stress tips are easy, relaxing methods to relieve anxiety, that will bring you some much needed peace of mind.
Coping with stress, means you need to control stress. The idea here, is to disassociate yourself from whatever is causing your tension, and put your mind and body into a state of tranquility, in order to relieve anxiety.
1. Relax in a comfortable chair, close your eyes and abandon all thoughts in your mind except one. This might be your favorite car, your boyfriend/girlfriend, or anything that has lightened up your frame of mind in the recent past. Concentrate on that ray of sunlight that leaves you smiling and feeling more serene. Do this for approximately 10 or 15 minutes every day. With just a little consistency and focus you’ll be effectively managing stress.
2. In addition to the visual imaging above, simple checked breathing can be another very efficient method to control stress. Breathe in for a count to 5, and breathe out on a count to 3. This will be even more powerful to relieve anxiety and eliminate stress disorders, when you merge this breathing exercise with tip one.

I quit smoking years ago now, and before I finally gave up smoking for good, I had many failed attempts under my belt at breaking the smoking habit. I would stop for periods of time, sometimes even for many months at a time, then I would end up starting again. Sometimes I’d be in the bar drinking with friends, sometimes out of boredom, sometimes a physical craving or what ever silly reason. Smoking is such a terrible thing to do your body on every level, as I’m sure you know.
There is a method that worked for me. and I would like to share it with you if you’re looking to give up smoking for good. I tell my friends about this all the time who are looking for effective ‘quit smoking help’. (I swear sometimes, having my own blog and a place to write and express my experiences and opinions is therapeutic for me, being that my friends don’t have to listen to me rant and rave as much, and they stop wanting to pluck my tongue out for being one of those so-called reformed smokers.
) Well.. you’re my online friends, and if even just a handful of you relate to my experiences and end up giving up smoking for good, then it’s ALL good.
In my teenage years, and through my twenties and thirties I was a very heavy smoker. It was not uncommon to smoke a couple of packs a day and a lot of times I would smoke so many cigarettes that it just wasn’t enjoyable past a certain point if you know what I mean. Cigarettes taste terrible sometimes! I’m sure you’ve noticed this yourself (I know they sometimes taste wonderful, but that’s a memory worth forgetting
). I’ll tell you, after having quit smoking for any period of time (even just a few days) was when they tasted the absolute worst for me. That first cigarette after not having had one for a while tastes horrible! Like horse manure I thought!
